What is your Business?
I make Body Moisturising Candles made from vegan locally sourced ingredients that will nourish & hydrate your skin as well as improve its elasticity. I also sell other self care products to nourish the soul & Home decor.
A little bit about yourself.
I’m 27, a Capricorn ( determined & goal orientated) I married my high school sweet heart Eric and we have two boys Xander 4 and Elijah 2 and a half. I’m Italian and my partner is Greek! We are passionate about food, spending time together as a family and recently got a puppy Sage our Frenchie!
How did the idea come about?
This was my mothers idea and business which she started back in 2012. When she passed away in 2016 it took me a while to really think about which direction I wanted to go with it. I started everything from scratch, knowing she’s watching over me and helping me along the way brings warmth to my heart. Everything I do is for my family. Our story of our journey is on our website! I have a lot of people freak out after reading the journey of white light candles!
What has been the most challenging aspect of owning your own business so far?
I would say learning everything from scratch and not knowing where to start, how to market things and the back side of a website like all of the fidgety things you don’t learn in school! Like SEO and the analytics.
What has been the highlight of owning your business? There are so many things, the main two is seeing how far I have come in every aspect. I love what I have created and knowing others do to means the world to me! Secondly the community that continues to show support and love! I have met ‘ virtually ‘ so many wonderful mumpreneur’s their determination and drive is contagious!
If you have one advice to give to another Mama wanting to start a business what will it be?
Do it! Don’t compare yourself to others and their journey. Focus on yourself, brainstorm what you want to do / sell and make it happen. The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.
